About Padel.

Padel is an energetic, social game that’s quickly becoming the fastest-growing racket sport in history. Dominating Europe, it’s now poised to make a major impact on the Irish sports scene. Its rapid growth is driven by how easy it is to play and its accessibility, while the doubles format makes padel an incredibly engaging social activity. The post-match hangout is often just as fun as the game itself.

The Game.

The Court.

Our courts measure 20m x 10m—about one-third the size of a traditional tennis court. This compact layout is enclosed by durable side fencing and toughened glass at the back, allowing for dynamic play where the ball stays in action even after hitting the walls.

The Racket & Ball.

Padel rackets are stringless and crafted from carbon fiber or fiberglass, making them ideal for all levels. The balls, which are similar to tennis balls but with reduced pressure, allow for extended rallies.

The Rules.

Padel is played in doubles with underarm serves diagonally. The serve must bounce once, and points are scored when:

  • The ball bounces twice.
  • If the ball strikes a player.
  • If the ball hits a wall or fixture before crossing the net.

The Match.

Matches use tennis scoring (15, 30, 40, game). First to win 2 of 3 sets wins the match. At 40–40, it's deuce. Some games use a 'golden point' to break ties.
